Showing up is what counts
show up on purpose and with purpose, even on the tough days

Not every day is going to feel good, some days you’ll walk into the gym feeling strong, motivated and ready to train, other days you’ll be tired, stressed, busy, a bit sore, or just not really in the mood - that's normal and those days probably matter more than you think.
Building fitness isn’t about having endless motivation. It’s about learning to keep showing up even when the conditions aren’t perfect. That doesn’t mean you need to smash yourself every time you train either. Some days you might lift heavier, push hard and have a great session, other days the win might simply be getting through the door, moving your body and doing what you can.
Both count.
Over time, those sessions add up! You start to build a routine where training becomes part of your week rather than something you only do when you feel motivated. It’s also important to remember that progress isn’t just about what the scales say.
Your bodyweight can fluctuate for all sorts of reasons, and it doesn’t always tell you whether you're getting fitter, stronger or healthier, maybe you're lifting weights that used to feel heavy, maybe you can run further without stopping. You might notice you're less out of breath walking upstairs, carrying the shopping feels easier, you're sleeping better or you've got more energy during the day, maybe your clothes fit differently, maybe you've made friends through training, or maybe you've simply managed to train consistently for the last couple of months when previously you'd always struggled to stick with it.
They're all wins.
Fitness should make your life better, not become another thing to judge yourself by so don't let one bad session, a busy week or a number on the scales convince you that you're not making progress.
Keep showing up. Keep doing what you can on the day.
Then every now and again, look back and give yourself credit for all the things that have changed that can't be measured by a set of scales.
