How did you find CrossFit?
Pete has trained the majority of his life picking up his first barbell at the age of 11. When he was younger he had aspirations to be a professional rugby player playing for professional academies and trialing at international level. After a knee injury in 2009 Pete found CrossFit and has never looked back since.
What do you like about CrossFit?
It sounds cliché, but what I love about CrossFit is how it changes people’s lives. Watching people who have never done any previous training or never enjoyed fitness, seeing them progress and start to love training is great! I also love the community aspect of CrossFit, coming from playing a team sport all my life I felt a void once I stopped playing. CrossFit definitely filled that void. Finally what I love is how challenging every workout is and I still get nervous before each WOD after 8 years.
What do you like to do outside of the gym?
Pete doesn’t really have a life outside of the gym… But when he gets time Pete likes to see friends or hang out with his Chow Chow Mr Beau.
Guilty Pleasure
A nice warm bubble bath ……. With Beau and a tub of Haagen-Dazs Joking – I hate Haagen-Dazs, I’m a Ben and Jerry's kind of guy!
