How did you find CrossFit?
I found CrossFit via my dad and a young fella he taught at school. I was 18 at the time and was stuck in the routine of bodybuilding and hypertrophy thinking it was helping me get bigger, stronger and fitter for playing rugby. Once trying CrossFit, it changed the way I perceived fitness, and next thing I knew I was hooked. To this day, I love to coach more and more as the days go on and enjoy applying CrossFit methodologies to my own training.
What do you like about CrossFit?
I really like the competitive environment which each CrossFit gym brings, but I also love the sense of camaraderie which comes from every workout (not only team workouts). I love the variance of each workout and how different stimulus and modalities make me realise how much there is to work on and try to improve on. Even now after all these years, there are still combinations of workouts that beat me up.. and I absolutely love it!
What do you like to do outside of the gym?
Outside of the gym I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing drums and just being outside in the sun.
Guilty Pleasure
My guilty pleasure is for sure Love Island and Geordie Shore! And also vanilla cheesecake... or any sweet snack for that matter.
